    Vital to the success of PIRCH is procuring the right products for our customers and having the right inventory on hand at the right time. As Director of Merchandising you will be working with internal and external partners to focus on ensuring PIRCH builds the right stocking programs in each market in pursuit of ultimate customer satisfaction. You will also be optimizing and maintaining the correct inventory levels to support sales growth based on the current needs of the business as well as future projections (demand planning). The work of this role is critical to margin, conversion percentage, and PIRCH’s overall ability to create meaningful experiences for our customers. 


     


    WHAT OUR DIRECTOR OF MERCHANDISING DOES: (among other things)



    • Is instrumental in growing the PIRCH Merchandising

    • Create and manages meaningful and productive stocking programs

    • Analyzes vendor programs and makes recommendations to optimizes profitability and inventory levels

    • Proactively works with Purchasing and Distribution Center teams to reduce inventories

    • Creates and implements stock balancing programs between PIRCH distribution centers to maximize inventory productivity

    • Works closely with PIRCH Distribution Center teams and vendor partners to improve return processes and procedures

    • Supports Sales Assistants and Project Coordinators with product availability escalations by working closely with vendors and distributors to solve issues

    • Works to analyze sales data and make display/stocking recommendations

    • Assist in developing more comprehensive systems that aid in real-time analysis and action on buy-side opportunities

    • Works closely with Vice President of Sales to execute strategies in Showrooms. 


    EXPERIENCE/ROLE REQUIREMENTS:



    • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college is required

    • Four-year degree preferred or minimum 5 years merchandising experience

    • Inventory management experience

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

    • Appliance and or plumbing knowledge is a plus
